Extension Tubes

An extension tube allows your lens to focus closer than normal by moving the lens further away from the camera body. Sometimes they will come in a set of 3 and by trying different combinations can vary the distance from the subject the lens can focus down to.

Canon Extension Tubes Canon's extension tube's are exclusively designed for doing very close-up work with Canon EF auto focus lenses, macro lenses in particular. They enable high magnification close-ups of small subjects such as flowers and insects. The tubes have electronic contacts to enable signals between the camera and lens which lets you use the camera's focusing and exposure settings.
