As well as being one of the largest of the independent lens manufacturers, Tamron also produce a small range of filters, particularly UV, for their lenses. Fitting a UV filter to your lens not only helps to block UV (ultraviolet) rays which case a bluish cast in photos but also can be left on the lens at all times to protect the front element.
