Canon 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L IS USM EF Lens Question Date Added: 10th September 2008
Question: Is it the case that if you use the 1.4 or 2.0 x extenders with this lens on a Canon 40D that you can no longer get the AF to work and you have to resort to manual focus?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, only EOS 1 series slr cameras will retain autofocus operation on the 100-400 lens with either the 1.4 or 2.0 Extender attached. Any other EOS camera, such as the 40D will only have manual focus with the Extender attached. Hope this is of help to you. |
