this is my 1st telephoto lens after the standard lens that came with my canon 1000d. this lens i would highly recommend it as the optics are crisp & sharp in pretty much all aspects from close ups on full mag to wide angle close ups once u work out the minimum distance. the lens also has a quick auto focus & stable for max zoom to steady the shot, weight is good balance on camera very impressed! Tip:- you only need to remember to keep your fingers away from the autofocus part of the ring!
