Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, yes there is a screw thread on the base of the battery grip for mounting onto a tripod.

Question: Does the BG-E2N Battery grip come with batteries?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, no the grip does not come with any batteries. It comes with a holder for 6x AA batteries so either this or the standard BP511 type batteries can be used for powering the camera.
