The EW73B lens hood is specified by Canon for the Canon EF-S 17-85mm lens. It is made from plastic and thus is light-weight. It is a smart and functional lens hood, quick to fit and to remove. However, it does not seem to be possible to reverse it for storage on the lens, as is the case with many other lens/lens hood combinations including both Canon and Sigma to my knowledge. This results in the waste of valuable camera case space.
