Canon Powershot A650 IS I am no expert on cameras but I wanted more than just a ‘point and shoot’ I didn’t want to lumber around a big SLR so I went for this. I certainly have a lot to learn, there are so many features on this camera! At first I was a bit daunted with all the settings available but now I have messed about with it I must say the camera is superb. I was at a football match yesterday and was able to zoom to a stand at the opposite end of the stadium and pick out a mate! Wow! The 6X optical zoom is fantastic. Camera looks great, stylish and not as bulky as I feared as some reports sated this. Cons - 'Slightly' heavy, manuals are in PDF on a CD, would much prefer a proper manual.
