Works very well and the extra cable length is a must. Delighted with it! The price is very reasonable and the advice from Bristol Cameras was excellent. I have enjoyed using it for astro imaging and is better than using a timer for getting yourself in a group shot. It focuses with half a press and will lock for bulb exposures. Go make a cuppa while doing a 4 minute exposure!

Basic but does what it needs to. Push half way for focus/metering then all the way to shoot, just like the release buton on your camera. There is also a lock so you can shoot long exposures.

RS60E3: This is a very simple shutter release switch build by Canon and works as it should. The nice touch is the simple cable management system that tidies things up somewhat.

A must have. Easy to keep with the tripod and save messing around with the preset timer on the camera. With this you have the control.

Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, the EOS 40D has a N3 type remote socket so this particular remote switch will not work. Question: Hi there, is the shutter released immediately as the button is pressed or is there a dealy (as with the Canon RC-5 which has a two second delay?) thanks.
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, pressing the shutter release on the remote is like pressing the cameras own shutter button, the camera focuses then immediately fires, there is no delay as with the IR remotes.
