Write your own Cokin P Series ND Graduated Kit (H250A) Review

Cokin filters offer good value-for-money, and I'm using this kit to get a feel for using ND grads in landscape photography, as they cost roughly a third of the price of a LEE set they're ideal for dipping a toe in the water and deciding if its a style of photography that is of interest.
The kit contains Cokin's standard P series holder, and a set of three soft graduated filters, corresponding to 1, 2 and 3 stops worth. All three come in their own plastic case to keep everything clean and safe. Optically they seem to be acceptable, no obvious colour casts or distortions.
As the holder is Cokin's standard, it isn't suitable for use with my Sigma 10-20mm lens at its wider settings as the arms of the filter holder are visible in-shot, luckily I already have another that has been trimmed back to just the thin slot for circular filters and the first sprung type for the ND grads, only drawback is I won't have the option of fitting more than one resin filter with that lens. If I do decide to get serious, I'll need to upgrade to a larger format, such as Cokin's Pro X series or indeed the much-recommended LEE.

Good quality item which is simple to use. Appears to be good value for money. Flters come in sturdy plastic cases which protects them well. I have marked outside of cases with type of filter within. This makes it easier to identify the filter I want to use as it is difficult to identify otherwise.

This kit has helped me sort out my over exposed skies. Excellent piece of kit and well built, though get a wide angle holder if you using wide angle lens or vignetting appears.
