Took this with me to Mexico for a Snuba dive, and although I used my sons Canon A560, it worked brilliantly.
Had to put the lens extender to allow for the lens, which as Will Stewart said can catch if it's not completely aligned correctly. Best tip is to try to pull as much air out the bag as possible.
Perfectly waterproof, my Snuba dive was to 20ft, and no problems whatsoever. Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

I didn't expect too much from this bargain basement protection but it seems well made.
The Canon A590 IS fits easily inside and most of the controls are surprisingly easy to operate through the clear case material if you puff out most of the trapped air.
There is a slight tendancy for the camera and lens port to slip out of alignment when the camera is switched off, so turning on the camera can cause the extending lens to 'catch' momentarily. This is a very minor problem that I have solved by using a bit of kitchen towel as packing!
The camera now floats if you drop it in water but the size of the case stops the camera fitting in your pocket. Good though.

Question: Hi, which Dicapac do you recommend for a Panasonic LX3?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, the Panasonic LX3 is not listed in the Dicapac compatibility charts unfortunately so it looks like they dont have a suitable waterproof case, so you would have to look at the Ewa Marine D-SC which is suitable for the LX3 and is available on our website. |

Question: Is the WP500 the right case for a Panasonic TZ3? If not are there any other Dicapac cases that are suitable? Thanks.
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, for some reason the official Dicapac website doesnt list the TZ series on its compatibility chart but the WP500 is the one people use for the TZ3 but you may have to zoom in a little to avoid vignetting at full wide angle. |
