There are other remotes for sale, but this one is sensibly designed with a quality touch. The lead is not too long either (I'd consider a radio remote if longer distance was necessary... but how often would that be necessary?), and I like the "hold" feature for the longer exposure times.

Excellent item! Works perfectly on my S9600. Shame I didn't see this sooner, as I bought a generic cable release, from a well-known auction site, which screwed up my camera. First class delivery service too. I was told it was out of stock with no ETA, then the following Monday, it had arrived. Many thanks.

I bought this unit for my S9500 and was a little sceptical as it is not mentioned in the owners manual or recommended for this model on Fuji's website. It works perfectly however, the "feel" of the focus/shutter button movement is as good if not better than the on-camera button.

Question: Does this remote release feature the pre-press autofocus function on the S9600?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, yes this remote release replicates the camera shutter button and allows a half press for pre focusing and exposure and then a full press to release the shutter. The shutter release button can also be locked down for long exposures. Hope this is of help to you. |

Question: Need to know the correct remote release cable for Fuji FinePix digital camera S3 Pro please. Prefer Fuji product. Thank you.
Bristol Cameras Answer: I'm not aware of Fuji producing their own remote release cable for the S3 Pro I am afraid. It is actually based on the Nikon D80 so any D80 compatible shutter release cables will be fine, such as the Nikon MC-DC1, Hahnel HWN 433 long distance wireless or Hahnel HRN 280 remote shutter release.
