I bought this to use with the VGR 9255 Giottos tripod. Its well manufactured with quick release and fit adapter.

Question: What is the thread size for fixing to a tripod and what is the size on the quick release plate for fitting to camera?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, the top thread for attaching your camera to is the standard 1/4 inch screw. The bottom fixing for attaching to the tripod is 3/8 inch as standard plus this head includes a 3/8 to 1/4 inch adapter as well so both size attachments are suitable.
