I wanted as simple a shutter release as possible for my DSLR which would allow me to hold the shutter open for long ("B" setting) exposures, the Hahnel HRO 280 fits the bill perfectly, the 2 metre extension is a bonus and the price is substantially less than the RM-UC1 Olympus equivalent. I'm not criticising (the release is simple) but the "Instruction Manual" is tiny - I'm sure there are bigger postage stamps!

What a good decision to buy this remote release, it allows me to keep an eye on the wildlife in my garden from the comfort of my living room with my camera on the outside. There is a good length of cable and it works great with my D-SLR. It has improved lots of my photos and is great value from Bristol Cameras.
