Jobo Photo GPS Unit Attach this device to your cameras standard hotshoe and capture geo-data on site. Then using the supplied PhotoGPS software automatically combine GPS and location data with your pictures. Recording time approx 0.2 seconds and it is accurate to approx 10 metres. Powered by an internal rechargeable li-poly battery. Compatible with Windows and Mac computers.

It works well and is very very fast at picking up your location. It seems to do this even when you are in trees. OVERALL: I like it. Expensive but does the job effectively. The software does work 'straight out of the box' but needs improvement. Main, Pros are: 1) Fast location identification. 2) Light, small. 3) True position at which you took the photo. Main Cons: 1) Can only tag all photos imported. 2) Can't use the camera's built in flash.

Question: Does the Jobo Photo GPS work in Kenya?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, below is a link to more info on countries covered by GPS. By the looks of it the PhotoGPS should record the fact that the photo is taken in Kenya and may record the town if you are near a populated area, but it will not record precise location details unfortunately. http://www.jobo.com/web/fileadmin/service/photogps/World_Wide_Coverage_of_Reverse_Geocoding_04_2009.pdf
