I bought the lenspen and used it straight away on my Fuji F30, Fuji S9500 and on the inside of the glass on my underwater housing, I have looked and looked at these surfaces in all kinds of light and cannot find a trace of contamination, even though one of the lenses had a suncream smear on it!! Don't know how it works, but it is brilliant.
