Bought this to go on my Manfrotto 676B monopod, fits perfectly and uses the same plate as my manfrotto 804RC2 tripod head, excellent product.

I bought the Manfrotto 234RC to mount on my Benro MC98 monopod. Although I was a little concerned about its stated maximum load capability, I need not have worried, it easily copes with a Canon EOS 1D Mk3 plus 100-400 lens.

Got this today and was quite impressed with it. Seems very sturdy and easy to set up. The safety pin is an excellent idea and is very reassuring. The price on this site also happens to be the cheapest online that I could find, so I would recommend it for anyone using a monopod.

A very sturdy and well manufactured piece, easily fitted and adjusted to give a smooth transition from horizontal to verticle. I am particulary impressed by the feature of a secondary lock on the quick release mechanism. This is very simple to use and prevents the quick release from being accidently released and thereby preventing accidental damage to expensive camera equipment.
