A lightweight simple panorama head, I'm using it on my panorama bracket with a Manfrotto 300N. The 300N controls stepped 360' rotation of my camera and I have attached the 627 to control vertical rotation. Nowhere on the internet could I find how the 627 panorama adapter locks in position - this is achieved by a clockwise rotation of the geared knob beneath the top plate. Rotating that knob anti clockwise allows free rotation of the head. Most adverts describing the head refer to a "graduated scale marked in mm" around the head, the scale is actually a 360' scale in 15' steps.
