This is a very sturdy piece of kit, with excellent locking mechanisms. My only critism, as others I`ve seen is that the strap is totally naff, but this is a minor problem, easily customised.
Good product.

Have bought a number of monpods, including carbon fibre models, but this Manfrotto beats them all.
Takes a heavy load without collapsing and handles my Canon 1D Mkll + 70-200 F2.8L with ease. Sections can be tightened with supplied tool if required.
Good sturdy feel to the item and built to last. If you need an excellent Monopod this should be at the top of any list - especially at these prices.

Looked at quiet a few monopods, this one is well strong enough especially as it only has 2 legs no spindly 3rd leg. My main concern was the weight of your arm as this also has to rest on monopod when holding camera but this one is well up to job with a big grip.
