Like a previous reviewer I have found the instructions either confusing or over complicated. Haven't yet used this item in anger but have got it to work. Early observations are that you may have to play with exposure or flash intensity if working very close in.
A big benefit is the universal nature of it (I'm just switching from Olympus E-600 to Nikon D7000 based outfits so bought with this in mind).
Item is also materially cheaper than a dedicated unit from either Nikon or Olympus and generally feels robust and easy to fit. Adjustable direction and intensity for each of the two inbuilt flashbulbs is also well done. Fact that items can also be rotated makes this look well thought out.
That said, one criticism on build quality so far is the rather "heath robinson" clothes peg arrangement re blocking light from the inbuilt flash on the camera body. Maybe there is another way to do this as I'm afraid I'll either lose or break this particular part.
Good that some step-up rings are provided in the box and larger ones are available cheaply.
Pricing at Bristol Cameras was very competitive at ?239.

For a beginner like me, I found the instruction book (of biblical proportions) contained much info which was irrelevant to my needs, but which proved to be very confusing. I had trouble getting idiot-proof instruction from anyone (one of the problems of being an idiot)! After 48 very frustrating hours, when the whole lot came close to the dustbin, it sorted itself out and now is all sweetness and very good light. A very good piece of kit.
