Question: I have a Canon EOS 400D and a Metz 45 CL-4 flashgun. Could you please tell me what adapter I will need and any other equipment I will need to make these two items compatible.
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, if it is the non Digital version of the Metz 45 CL-4 flashgun then you can connect it to the EOS 400D with the 301 standard foot and SCA 300A cable. You will only have basic auto/manual modes, not TTL unfortunately. If you have the latest Digital version of the 45 CL-4 then you will get TTL metering via the SCA 3045 and SCA 3102 (minimum M3 adapter).

Question: I have a 45CT-4 with an SCA 300A lead that I want to connect to an EOS 500D. Is this the right adapter? Will I get TTL flash control or just manual and auto?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, the 45 CT-4 isnt a digital compatible flashgun so the TTL SCA adapter isnt suitable unfortunately. You would have to connect it up to your Canon EOS 500D via the SCA 300A cable plus the Metz 301 standard foot which is on our website. This would give you auto/manual flash, not TTL.

Question: Is this the right adapter to connect an EOS 350D to a Metz 60 CT4?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, as the 60 CT-4 isnt a Digital compatible flash then it is not usable with the SCA 3102 adapter unfortunately. Metz suggest connecting it to the EOS 350D via the 301 standard foot plus SCA 300A cable which will give you standard auto/manual operation.

Question: I have an EOS 400D, I also have a Metz 40MZ-2 which I would like to use with it. Will the Metz SCA 3102 give me functionality please?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, the SCA 3102 is what you need to attach the 40MZ-2 to the EOS 400D but you wont get TTL flash metering unfortunately because the 40MZ-2 is not Digital compatible. You will get auto flash mode or manual mode only.

Question: I have an EOS 400D, I also have a Metz 32 CT7 which I would like to use with it. Will the Metz SCA 3102 give me functionality please?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, unfortunately that flash isnt compatible with digital cameras so the SCA 3102 wouldnt be suitable. You can use it in Auto/Manual modes with the 301 standard foot but you wouldnt have any TTL metering.
