Question: Is this lens compatible with Nikon D40x?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, this lens will fit and meter fine on the D40x but as the lens isnt an AF-S lens and therefore doesnt have a built in AF motor then it would not auto focus on the D40x unfortunately. This would be the same if used on a Nikon D40, D60, D3000 and D5000 as well as they all lack an AF motor in the body.
