Write your own Nikon D90 Body Review

I bought this camera as a second body as I already own a D300 and can honestly say that I am very impressed.
Whilst not up to D300 standard, the build quality of the D90 like all Nikons I have owned so far is very good and in action it performs very well indeed. So far I have not been able to distinguish any difference in picture quality between the two cameras. Notably on one recent poor lighting occasion the D90's autofocus system actually performed better than that of it's bigger brother.
The feature I honestly like the most about the camera is it's menu system, more comprehensive than the D40/D60 entry level models but not as overcomplex (at times) as my D300. It is also very accesible making quick adjustments a doddle, greatly reducing my chances of missing the shot.
Although I didn't buy the camera for it, the video mode has proved itself useful a couple of times and is a handy little extra.
All in all, I am really pleased with my purchase ..... Nice one Nikon.

Moving up from a Pentax K10D to a Nikon D90 you can tell the difference in quality straight away. No problems so far apart from the new .nef files require a later version of Photoshop or Lightroom, but you can get round this by updating to ACR 5.2. Overall a great camera, well worth the price you pay and it has alot of great features.
