After much consideration, I decided to purchase an original Nikon battery with the matching Nikon battery charger. Although expensive, now I have received the items, I have no doubt that this was the right decision. The decision was helped along by the attractive price discount offered by Bristol Cameras. Although both the charger and battery were placed on back order, the two items were delivered together. I assume that this was because someone at Bristol Cameras thought about the uselessness of having one delivered without the other!
