Compact flash unit for the Nikon D range that you'll want to keep on your camera as an improvement to the fill-in 'pop-up' flash. Works very well for typical shots, but not a SB-600/800 in terms of power and control. A very nice flash to have even to accompany a more creative unit. It has produced some very satisfying results and my initial concern of power drainage from only 2 AA batteries was unfounded as the gun produced over 200 shots on one set. At around 5 secs between charges the delay is acceptable enough too. Don't worry about the lack of manual control, the camera and flash work perflectly together. Could do with a battery life indicator...my only criticism!
