A bit smaller and lighter than my E-1, with I/S and a higher pixel count - these were main considerations, plus compatibility with existing Olympus bits. Unlikely to use all those 'Easy Shooting Modes' and 'Scene Modes'. More bells and whistles than I'll ever use! Looking forward to using it - for travel, mostly.

I bought this camera, plus Sigma 18-50 and 55-200 mm lenses, three months ago and am very pleased with it. It has been criticised for having too many buttons but I've found them an advantage. The controls for all the settings I may want to change during a shoot are clearly marked and easily accessible. Admittedly, though, when feeling for the control wheel my thumb does occasionally hit the AF point selector button instead.
I do have some reservations about the AF system. Initially this gave me disappointing results. However, I followed advice I read to use the centre AF point only and since then the focussing has generally been spot-on.
