Excellent - and a "must have" for Olympus Pen users. I had read lots of reviews so no surprises but a more secure latch would be useful for sure. The view is not like an SLR - for one there is a little lag after you take the shot before the picture resumes and if you have auto preview enabled what you will see is the shot you just took rather than the live view - maybe best to turn off auto preview when using. The adjustable angle is very helpful at times - can be very discreet to compose with the camera held at chest height, I am 50 and use reading glasses so it's a god send over the LCD which is not easy to read for me without glasses. Dioptre adjustment works fine too. All in all very pleased, pricey (very) but well worth it!

Excellent addition to the EP-L1 this really should come as standard with the camera make it feel like a "real camera "despite the price! Composing shots is so much easier with vf-2.

I wanted the VF-2 as I was using a zoom lens on my Olympus Pen camera and shake can be an issue. Comparing the viewable image on the camera back to the one I was seeing through the VF-2 view finder there is a difference. From the view finder images look closer and the colours differ. Once the shot has been taken the image in the VF-2 is the same as on the back. This can be confusing. You can flick quickly from the view finder to the camera back using a button located on the VF-2, which helps. Other than that important difference, the view finder is clear, bright and very useful.
