Question: Is it worth me buying a clear filter for my FZ18 simply to protect the lens. As an amateur photographer, this is a relatively high spec camera for me and I want to ensure I get the most from it.
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, it would be worth getting one purely to protect the front element of the lens for times when the hood might not be attached to the camera. The FZ18 has a 46mm filter thread. Hope this is of help to you. |

Question: Hi, I would like a circular polarising filter and a uv filter for my Panasonic FZ18 - are there any available, if so what do i need to look for? thanks.
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, the lens on the Panasonic FZ18 has a 46mm filter thread so you would need to purchase this size. If you do a search on our site for 46mm filter you will see the selection we offer, there are both Kood and Hoya brands available. Hope this is of help to you. |

Question: Does the FZ18 have an underwater case?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, there is no Panasonic housing available but the Ewa Marine D-A housing is suitable. This housing is depth rated to 30 metres and is available on our website. For best results use the optional Ewa Marine C-A55 adapter and the optional Panasonic DMW-LA3E lens adapter. Hope this is of help to you. |

Question: What charger is supplied and is the battery removed for charging?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, you get a mains battery charger in the box which is just for charging a single battery. The battery is removed from the camera to charge it. There are other chargers available such as the Hahnel Powerstation Ultima which will allow quicker charger and also the option to charge the battery from the car cigarette lighter socket. Bristol Cameras Answer: The FZ18 has a 46mm filter thread on the front of the lens for attaching filters. Use the optional DMW-LA3 lens adapter for attaching heavier items such as telephoto and wide angle conversion lenses. Hope this is of help to you. |

Question: Is there a UV filter available? What is its size in mm?
Bristol Cameras Answer: The actual lens has a 46mm filter thread for filters only. A Hoya 46mm UV filter is available here:

Or via the optional DMW-LA3 lens adapter you can attached 55mm accessories such as Panasonics wide angle or telephoto conversion lenses.

Question: Does the lumix FZ18 have diopter eye adjustment for the electronic viewfinder?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, yes the FZ18's electronic viewfinder does have a dioptre adjustment dial to the left of the viewfinder. It provides a correction range of +/- 4 dioptre, allowing the viewfinder to be adjusted to most peoples eyesight. |
