The Seculine Twin - 1 R4N Wirless Sutter Release is Absolutly marvelous! Why: - well it has no wires either to the transmitter or the receiver; though it is also suppled with cord with the ten pin connector (receiver)at one end & a plug at the other end to connect to the transmitter. I prefer going totally cordless! The transmitter and receiver are well built & compact in nature.Just be carefull when attatching the reciever to the ten pin socket, its fiddly; one could easily bend the recievers pins. The transmiter has settings - focus (half depressed), fully depressed to take the picture, push the mechanism away from your body, up, for continuious shooting. I bought a wirless shutter release elsware, the battery failed in the reciever, the battery cannot be replaced. I wasted my money! I won't with the Seculine! The Seculine mechanism works on my Nikon D300 & Fuji S5 Pro. This Seculine Wirless Release is the best I have seen, I have NO doubts in recomending it to all! I might even by another & keep the reciever attatched to the camera?

I like the versatility of this release in that it can be used as infra red or cable release. It is light, easy to use and fully compatible with the Nikon D300.

The Seculine Twin-1 R4N Wireless Shutter Release is very easy to attach and extremely easy to operate. The receiver is very small and fits nicely onto the camera. Because of its size you can actually leave this on the camera for the time that you need it. I used this for long exposures which it works very well. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Given the price of Nikons own wireless release, I’ve been searching for one from an independent that actually works with my D300. I bought a couple of cheap ones through eBay and found them, at best, inconsistent. The Seculine Twin-1 R4N was well reviewed and when I bought it from Bristol Cameras (the best offer I could find on the ‘net) it worked straight out of the box – first time, every time. A great product.

An excellent piece of kit on my Nikon D300, but dont lose it, works well at distances not sure if I have tried it at full range, very very compact and totally unobtrusive although you can forget you have it fitted.

Question: Does this unit use radio or infra-red for communication?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, it is an infra red remote so does require line of sight to the receiver on the camera. If you want more freedom then the Hahnel 433 series remotes are ideal as they use radio signals for triggering the shutter which work from any direction even through walls.
