A superbly built lens. It is neither too heavy or too light and balances beautifully on my Nikon D5000. Autofocus is quick and the OS seems very effective. Unlike any maker's kit lenses I have looked at, I fully expect this one to out-perform my bridge camera.

Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, I have just tried the lens on a camera and noted with maximum aperture values which are as follows: 17mm = f2.8, 24mm = f3.0, 28mm = f3.2, 35mm = f3.3, 50mm = f3.8 and 70mm = f4.0.
