Lightweight and compact wide angle zoom lens with a fast f2.8 maximum aperture across the zoom range. Features Tamron's Vibration Compensation (VC) image stabilisation mechanism. Designed for digital SLR cameras with an APS-C sized sensor. 35mm equivalent focal length of 26-78mm. Nikon fit version has a built in AF motor so is compatible with Nikon D40 / D40x / D60 / D5100 cameras. 29cm close focus. 72mm filter thread. Front and rear lens caps plus dedicated flower shaped lens hood included. Tamron lenses purchased from 1st April 2010 will now come with a 5 year warranty.

This 72mm HRT combined circular polarising and UV filter uses a newly developed HRT (High Rate Transparency) film which allows approx 25% more visible light through the filter while still filtering the same amount of polarised light. Circular polarising filters are most commonly used to darken bright blue skies in landscape photography and to reduce reflections on water and glass.

Great value Hoya twin filter kit. Contains the Hoya Pro 1 Digital 72mm Protector and the Hoya Pro 1 Digital 72mm Circular Polarising filters. For lenses which have a 72mm filter thread.
