Tamron 90mm f2.8 SP Di Macro Lens Nikon Fitting

Lightweight and compact macro lens offering life size 1:1 magnification ratio. 29cm close focus. 55m filter thread. Ideal for use with both 35mm and digital slr cameras. Easy switch over from manual to auto focus. When used on a digital SLR with an APS-C sized sensor the equivalent focal length is 140mm. Nikon fit version now has a built in AF motor so is now compatible with D40, D40x, D60, D3100 and D5100 digital SLR cameras. Tamron lenses purchased from 1st April 2010 will now come with a 5 year warranty.

This 55mm HRT combined circular polarising and UV filter uses a newly developed HRT (High Rate Transparency) film which allows approx 25% more visible light through the filter while still filtering the same amount of polarised light. Circular polarising filters are most commonly used to darken bright blue skies in landscape photography and to reduce reflections on water and glass.

Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, yes the Nikon fitting version of this lens now features a built in AF motor so is fully compatible with the Nikon D40x including AF operation.
