Lightweight and compact macro lens offering life size 1:1 magnification ratio. 29cm close focus. 55m filter thread. Ideal for use with both 35mm and digital slr cameras. Easy switch over from manual to auto focus. When used on a digital SLR with an APS-C sized sensor the equivalent focal length is 140mm. Nikon fit version now has a built in AF motor so is now compatible with D40, D40x and D60 D-SLR cameras. Tamron lenses purchased from 1st April 2010 will now come with a 5 year warranty.

Question: Can this lens be used in AF on a Nikon D40x?
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, yes the Nikon fitting version of this lens now features a built in AF motor so is fully compatible with the Nikon D40x including AF operation.
