Plus points: 1. sharp as a prime (a good prime at that), 2. widest lens you could ever need, 3. superb build quality, 4. fast focus, 5. fast f2.8 all the way through. Negative points: 1. quite expensive, 2. 11-16 isn't much of a zoom range (though in fairness I was originally after the Sigma 14mm f2.8 prime so this is actually more flexible!), 3. 1.5x crop sensors (or smaller) only, too small for Canon 1D (1.3x crop) or full frame. Overall: Given my other lenses are 28-135 and 80-200 this wideangle will pretty much stay permanently on my EOS 10D. Recommendation: If you love wide angle photographs, get this and nothing else (unless you're rich enough to afford the Canon 14mm L f2.8 II).
