I had originally wanted a Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod but they are out of my price range so ordered the Velbon CF435. I must say I have been very impressed with it, very well engineered with a high quality finish. The snap locks on the legs are crisp and positive and lock the legs securely whilst despite being so light (just over a kilogram) and compact the tripod is really quite sturdy.
I didn't expect too much of the PH157Q head being quite cheap but was really surprised at its quality with a smooth and positive action.
All in all I was very pleased and would definitely recommend this tripod and head.
Can't wait to get out into the mountains with them!
