Cheapest I could find by a long way from Bristol Cameras who also provided excellent communication and a delivery time of about one week. Buy one, you won't be disappointed! ![]()

Sigma 77mm Circular Polariser EX DG by Andrew Farmer Date Added: Monday 11 February, 2013
I did a fair bit of research on getting a circular polariser before deciding to go with the Sigma. This is not a popular choice but from the people whom have tried it, they have pretty much been very impressed with its performance to the point of swapping out the older filters and replaced with the Sigma. As I was to be using this with a Sigma 10 - 20mm, prime 50mm F1.4 and a Canon 24 - 105mm, I was lucky they was all the same size, 77mm thread so decided to get a good quality filter.
The Sigma is a very good filter, with stunning results. Also, as it is very thin, it is great to use on a wide angle lens such as the Sigma 10 - 20mm. It is giving just as good a results as some of the B+W ones I tried which was significantly more expensive.
Also, Bristol Cameras was one of the cheapest place for these filters, nearly £30 cheaper than everywhere else I looked.

Hahnel HRC 280 Remote Shutter Release by Andrew Farmer Date Added: Monday 11 February, 2013
I have always used the Canon range of accessories for my 40D but decided I would take a punt on the Hahnel 280 shutter release. I had seen numerous cheaper alternatives but they just did not appeal, if anything looking really cheap.
I was not disappointed when it arrived and it does exactly what it needs to, a basic shutter release but with the 2 meter extension, it really makes it more versatlile. A light press works the auto focus with a full press giving full shutter release. It also has the locking facility incase you are going for a long exposure shot on the cameras bulb setting.
I am glad I did not pay double for the genuine Canon part. ![]()

Canon TC-DC58E Tele Conversion Lens For Powershot G15 by Joanne Mead Date Added: Saturday 19 January, 2013
This attachment is very substantial and well made. It comes with its own push-fit lens hood and both store nicely in the supplied pouch. You need the adapter to connect it to the G15, but the whole assembly is solid and the camera still feels balanced. 200mm might not seem a lot, but it does provide a useful bit of additional reach.
The price on this website is more than £40 cheaper than anywhere else. What you save on this pays for the adapter itself. Go for it! ![]()

Nikon 13-40x / 20-60x / 25-75x MC II Zoom Eyepiece (BDB90075) by Huw Thomas Date Added: Monday 13 August, 2012
I bought this eyepiece for my Nikon ED82 scope because I need to read collars on wild geese in the arctic...and I have to sneak up on them because during/after moult or with young...they will move off if they spot me! Given the distances sometimes involved in that landscape, a smooth zoom motion, minimising scope shake is essential and my target will be moving about. I absolutely loved this eyepiece. Compared to previous years with a much cheaper scope I had crisp and bright images through the ED82 and the zoom was more than I needed but oh so smooth. Scanning flocks and zooming in and out to read collars on individual birds was a breeze. The action is stiff enough to provide precision and control but free enough to avoid shaking the scope during operation. Naturally the more you zoom the dimmer and less precise the image but I got excellent results just between 25x and about 40x. For me this eyepiece is the perfect complement to the ED82. ![]()

Nikon Fieldscope ED82 Angled Scope by Huw Thomas Date Added: Monday 13 August, 2012
I bought this scope for annual research fieldwork in western Greenland where I have to scan lakes for wild geese and wherever possible read identification tags we put on them. Not as easy as it sounds as the birds are wary (during or just after moulting) and may be with young so they will move off if I'm seen, it's often hard to sneak up without being seen in that landscape! So a sharp and bright image, from a distance, with smooth zoom facility and fine-tuned focussing can be essential to read a collar on a moving goose! The ED82 really delivers and is well worth the money. There's so much light and it's such a crisp image that reading collars was at times a doddle compared to using my old scope. On wet days I had total confidence as it's claimed to be waterproof. Along with tripod and other equipment it's a little heavy maybe at about 2Kgs but the quality is undeniable. For my sneaky work, being able to rotate the angled eyepiece to avoid sticking my head well into view is handy...but impractical of course in its fitted case! Note I bought a skylight filter to protect the front lens and it takes an 86mm filter not an 82mm! After a month in the arctic during my 2012 season I am delighted with the results I got with the ED82. ![]()

Canon 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 IS II EF-S Lens by David Galvin Date Added: Thursday 12 July, 2012
I bought this lens as a replacement for the older model supplied as part of a camera and lens package 4 years ago which had been damaged recently due to some rough handling.
The finish of the Mk II seems poorer lacking both the metallic trim of the earlier model and also the touch locatable white index alignment marker present on my other Canon lenses.
The earlier model is still available on-line from other suppliers but at a significantly higher price.
However in terms of performance I cannot differentiate between the old and new versions.
Significantly Bristol Cameras supplied the lens at a price almost £70 lower than quoted by a major high street chain for the same version so this represented unbeatable value. ![]()

Bought this with adapter for my E-P1, having checked with Olympus that all were compatible. Want to use for flower pics and insects, and anything else! Not yet tried with flash. First impression is that focusing is a little noisey (not a problem) and slightly slower than standard zoom, but very precise at all distances. Macro seems excellent with wonderful edge-to-edge sharpness. And it's good for general shots including landscapes. But the portraits are great with shallow dof (not really possible with 14/48 zoom). It will take more experimenting to get best out of it - as with all cameras - but so far I'm really pleased. ![]()

What's not already been said about this lens? It's the best excuse to own a micro four thirds camera. Forget that it is made of plastic in China & just enjoy its incredible performance: this miniscule gem resolves & renders detail with a 'look' rarely found anywhere near this price! ![]()

Velbon Ultra Rexi L Tripod With PH-157Q Head by John Fox Date Added: Friday 02 March, 2012
I wanted a tripod that was portable, stable, fitted into my backpack and could get down very low for macro work.
This tripod can do all that, very well and at a reasonable price.
The head was actually a QHD-53D, ball head with bubble levels. After using tilt heads in the past, ball heads take some getting used to and I would avoid them for big, heavy lenses. But for fine adjustments they are very good indeed.
Very pleased with the whole package. ![]()

Litepanels Micro Pro Kit by Jonathan Donovan Date Added: Friday 02 March, 2012
This is a very, very handy little light. I have started using this WAY more than my lowel I.d. for its simplicity and size, low/no heat output and ability to chuck it around a bit. At the end of the day most of my shooting is location based so the light you can set up easily and quickly tends to be the one you use. ![]()

Nikon Coolpix P7100 by Roy Brown Date Added: Thursday 01 March, 2012
Recently I purchased this as my main camera after many years of bulky cameras. I wanted something compact and challenging, more than just a point and shoot. I have to confess my photography has been put on the back burner over the last two years due to work load and Open university studies. This excellent little camera has been a real tonic and reawakened my interest. It has more than enough to keep me challenged and happy. At the one end the auto everything point and shoot produces really pin sharp, well exposed images which certainly match my old Nikon D80 of a few years back. I have only had the camera a few days but am already finding my way around it by usings it's simple menus and easily accessible controls. The tilting 3" LCD screen is crystal clear and sharp and though the viewfinder is not up to a DSLRs it is still reasonably adequate.
This is a camera with a lot of scope to experiment with and has the potential to produce excellent pictures at what ever level of competence the user is at. I am as happy with this as I was with my old Nikon D80 and already feel as equally at home with it. Rating 10/10
As a side note I have bought David Busch's book: 'Nikon Coolpix p7100, Guide to Digital Photography' It is an excellent addition to the p7100 reference manual enlarging on it in a clear and simplistic way. ![]()

Sea & Sea YS-01 Strobe Head by S Woodall Date Added: Wednesday 29 February, 2012
As a keen underwater photographer, I have used several strobes in the past, usually quite bulky, slower in response time, often running out of power mid-dive, so whilst I have yet to put this through a thorough test, the specs read well, and I look forward to my first diving trip. ![]()

Pentax O-GPS1 GPS Unit by Graham Hygate Date Added: Wednesday 22 February, 2012
Really good piece of hardware to capture the Geographical location and direction of the photographs taken. :)
Battery life is a bit on the lower side but then I guess it can't be much helped about as battery consumption increases when GPS searches for satellites.
Overall it is a very useful product and helping a lot in our business. ![]()

Sigma 50-500mm f4.5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM Lens Nikon Fit by Michael Wooding Date Added: Wednesday 15 February, 2012
I unpacked the lens and took it down to the beach. WOW - what a difference it makes. I am pleased with the quality of the pictures. Auto focus was also good on a running dog. The only slight downside is that the lens is heavy to carry over a long period of time. It will certainly be a regular on my outings in future. ![]()

National Geographic Earth Explorer Medium Photo Backpack by Robin Potter Date Added: Friday 27 January, 2012
Just got this bag after a lot of searching on-line and looking at review. This is a fantastic bit of kit. I have a Nikon D3100 with 2 lenses, one of which is a zoom. I also have my Panasonic HD Camcorder with all my chargers, spare batteries, cables, Gorrillapod, cleaning gear and other bits of kit, all this fits perfect. I would say that the dividers could be better but on the whole a great bag. No rain cover with this one so may have to purchase one.
My 17 inch Laptop fits in the rear pocket with room to spare, this is accessed from the top buy zip.
Great product, would recommend.
Great service from Bristol cameras too, only took 2 days to arrive. Brilliant. ![]()
