The Film Ferrania company was established in the 1920 in Italy. They produced 35mm, 120 and film stock with many award winning films being shot on their P30 film. Ferrania produced their first colour film in 1952. In 1964 the 3M Corporation acquired Ferrania and the brand name quickly disappeared. Throughout the 3M era, Ferrani manufacturer film to be branded by hundreds of grocery and drug store chains, regional brands and industrial customers. The film factory ended operations in 2010 and remained closed until Nicola Baldini and Marco Pagni started trying to restart the company and production of film. Today P30 has been released in 35mm format with 120 coming soon. Ferrania are also working on relaunching colour film and cinema films too.
