Hoya Filters

Hoya are the largest worldwide producer of optical glass, in fact around 60% of worldwide demand and supply is met by Hoya. Hoya has a wide variety of quality filters for use in all imaging applications such as 35mm and digital SLR cameras, medium format, large format and video. Hoya filters guarantee you the highest standards so you can create the best images.
Hoya Coated Circular Polarising Filters
Hoya high quality glass with coatings on both sides. These filters enhance blue skies and help reduce reflections on water and glass.

Hoya HMC Multi Coated UV Haze And Skylight Filters
Hoya high quality glass with HMC multi coatings on both sides. These filters reduce UV haze from your photos and leave them on your lens to act as protection for the front element.

Hoya NX-10 CPL Filters
The NX-10 Circular Polarising filter reduces unwanted reflections in non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass. It helps to boost contrast and colour saturation by filtering out light which has become polarised by reflection. This also helps increase contrast between blue sky and cloud as well as plant foliage. The circular polarisation is created by the addition of a quarter-wave film to the standard polarising film and this makes it ideal for use with all cameras, especially those with autofocus and complex exposure measurement systems.

Hoya NX-10 UV Filters
Hoya NX-10 UV filters are a multi purpose filter which absorbs ultraviolet rays that often make outdoor photography hazy and indistinct. UV filters are colourless and can be used in combination with other filters. They are also recommended as a general lens protector, to leave on lenses at all times - this protects the front element from scratches, dust and moisture. The NX-10 UV has 10 layers of anti-reflective coating, to reduce ghosting and flare, providing 98% light transmission. The slim filter frame avoids vignetting with wide-angle lenses.

Hoya Pro ND Filters
The ACCU-ND technology in the Hoya PRO ND filters yields a truly neutral colour balance that will not add any noticeable colour-fast to your images. The Hoya PRO ND series is aimed at the still photography and HDSLR video markets. The series provides 9 filters from two stop to 10 stop light reduction. The Metallic ACCU-ND coating on the PRO ND filters do not colour shift as you move from one density to the next, a common problem with other series of neutral density filters. Now you can set your white balance once and have the same colour balance even if you need to change filters due to changes in lighting, or for creative effect. The PRO ND filters use Hoya's exclusive clear optical glass that has a metallic ACCU-ND coating front and back to create the neutral density affect. Neutral density filters are designed to reduce the amount of light entering your camera lens and should not have any other effect on the image. Reducing the amount of light allows for the use of wider apertures or slower shutter speeds for creative and dramatic effect in bright lighting conditions.

Hoya Pro1 Digital Filters
Designed exclusively for digital cameras, these high quality digital multi coated filters help reduce internal reflections which digital camera CCD or CMOS sensors are highly susceptible to. This means you get a clearer image with greater contrast.

Hoya Ultra Pro CPL Filter
The Ultra-Pro Circular Polarising filter reduces unwanted reflections in non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass. The Ultra-Pro Circular Polarising filter has 16 layers of anti-reflection, water and oil repellent coatings which, coupled with the high-grade polarising film provides a superb 90% light transmission.

Hoya Ultra Pro UV Filters
A multi-purpose filter which absorbs ultraviolet rays that often make outdoor photographs hazy and indistinct. UV filters are colourless and can be used in combination with other filters. They are also recommended as a general lens protector, to leave on lenses at all times - this protects the front element from scratches, dust and moisture. The Ultra-Pro UV has 16 layers of anti-reflective coatings, to reduce ghosting and flare, providing optimum light transmission of 99.5%. The super-hard optical glass is mounted in a thin frame for excellent compatibility with wide-angle lenses.

Hoya UV + IR Cut Filters
Hoya UV + IR Cut filters have the ability to cut out both UV rays below 390nm and IR rays above 700mn leaving just the light rays in the visible spectrum passing through the filter and into the camera. This is important because the CCD and CMOS sensors in digital cameras are extremely susceptible to UV and IR rays just outside the visible spectrum which have a very negative impact on image quality. These filters block both UV rays and IR rays yielding clearer and sharper pictures outdoors and also reduce the effects of atmospheric haze to an even greater degree than a standard UV filter.

More Information
Hoya Variable ND Filters
Hoya Variable ND filters provide a convenient way to adjust exposure control by varying the amount of light entering the camera by 1.5 to 9-stops (equivalent to NDx3-400 or 0.45-2.7 density). The precision double-ring design allows the outer ring to rotate, controlling the amount of neutral density anywhere within the 1.5 to 9-stop range. The thin double-ring design also reduces the likelihood of vignetting with wide-angle lenses. This versatile filter allows for many special effects such as being able to control depth of field by using a wider aperture or create or control motion blur by being able to choose slow shutter speeds for perfect blurring.
