I bought Kenko Extension tubes as an inexpensive way of adding even more detail to my Tamron macro lens and they do just that.

There isn't much that can be said about extension tubes since they all ultimately contain the same air and no glass elements, but the Kenko tubes have excellent build quality and a good price. No significant drooping even with all 3 rings stacked.

Optically of course these things are entirely neutral so really I am reviewing build quality more than anything. On this basis they are not quite up to OEM Canon quality but perfectly serviceable and all the connections work fine. I've achieved some very nice results and can recommend.

Kenko AF DG Extension Tube Set Nikon Question

Date Added: 22nd May 2019
Question: Can these be used with Nikon G lens which does not have an aperture ring on the lens
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, yes the Kenko rings have the necessary contacts for TTL metering so the lens not having an aperture ring is not a problem. Please note though that these tubes will not AF with Nikon AF-S lenses, so you will have to manually focus when using these lenses.
Kenko AF DG Extension Tube Set Nikon Question

Date Added: 24th February 2009
Question: Do the Kenko extension tubes fit Canon EF-S lenses as according to the internet there is much doubt on the subject. Apparently later versions may fit. Many thanks Paul
Bristol Cameras Answer: Hi, Kenko do say they do not fit EF-S lenses. But I have tried them with a Canon EF-S 18-55 lens and it did work, AF was hunting a bit with all 3 tubes attached but it did work. I have not tried it with any other EF-S lenses unfortunately. Regards BC.
