The timer should be connected between the electricity supply outlet and the enlarger when the enlarger uses a mains voltage lamp. If the enlarger has a low voltage lamp operated from a transformer, the timer should be connected between the mains outlet and the transformer. The time is set using the + or - buttons. Timing begins when the start button is pressed. The timing can be interrupted at any point by pressing the start button. Once the time set is reached the enlarger switches off and the previously set time is again set ready for a further exposure.
