- This long focal ratio 70mm achromatic refractor is the ideal beginner's telescope as it features a German Equatorial Mount (including full height adjustable tripod), which makes finding, centring and following celestial targets at high powers simple, via the two manual control cables.
- The Moon and brighter planets are well seen with this system, which will also reveal detail in the major deep sky objects.
- This telescope is supplied with two eyepieces (a 4mm and a 20mm), giving the user 35x and 175x magnification respectively.
- A 3x Barlow lens is also supplied, for use with the 20mm eyepiece, which will give a magnification of 105x (we do not recommend using this with the 4mm eyepiece, as this will give a rather high power of 525x).
- A red dot finder is supplied, which will will make pointing the telescope simple, once collimated to the main optical tube (instructions are supplied).
- Planetarium software is also supplied (PC and Mac), which allows you to plan your observing sessions from anywhere in the world.
- A smartphone holder is also supplied which will allow you to use your Smartphone to take pictures through the telescope's eyepiece.
