The CP-E4 compact battery pack is compatible with Canon 580EX II, 580EX, 550EX, 540EZ, 430EZ, MR14EX and MT24EX Speedlites and accepts 8 AA sized batteries for reduced recycling time and extended shooting time. NB 430EX and 220EX Speedlites are not compatible.

Accepts 8x AA (lithium, alkaline, NiMh rechargeable) batteries
Reduces full power recycling time from about 6 to 1.7 seconds
Increases the number of full power flashes from approx 100 to 432
When used with the 580EX II dust and water resistant
