Fuji 16mm extension tube in Fuji X mount fitting, suitable for use with Fuji Compact System cameras such as the Fuji X-E2 and X-T1. Macro extension tubes are inserted between the lens and the camera body and increase the distance between the lens elements and the sensor enabling users to focus on subjects much closer to the camera. Great value way of photographing macro subjects. Electronic connections automatically pass information between Fujinon X-Mount lenses and Fujifilm X-series camera bodies so you can still use autofocus and control the aperture while using the tubes.

This technical information download link above opens a table which details the Working Distance (distance from the top of the lens barrel to the subject) and the Shortest Shooting Distance (distance from the image sensor to the subject) of each of the current Fujinon X Mount lenses with and without the tubes attached. Some tubes do not work with some lenses. These are indicated by the grey boxes.

  • Can you please confirm the weight of the Fuji MCEX-16 ? I would like to know how it compares with buying the dedicated macro lens which is 215g. I am guessing the extension tube is lighter?

    Hi, the MCEX-16 is indeed lighter, at just 67 grams.

  • Are front and rear caps included?

    Hi, Fuji do not supply caps with these extension tubes I am afraid. Spare caps are available on our website here:
