I have a D800 with an MB-D12 battery pack and I should like to be able to boost its speed in DX mode, but I am put off using the Nikon EN-EL18 by the cost of the corresponding charger; would this Hahnel battery coupled with their charger be an alternative?
Hi, the Hahnel version would work (you would also need the BL-5 battery cover for the MB-D12). However Hahnel do not produce a charger for their version of the EN-EL18 unfortunately so you would still be stuck with using the expensive Nikon MH-26 charger I am sorry.
Is the Hahnel HL-EL compatable with the Nikon D850 and D500 with their respective grips and the BL-5 adaptor? Will it also allow the D850 to shoot at 9 fps?
Hi, the Hahnel batteries perform in exactly the same way as the genuine Nikon batteries so using the BL-5 adapter and the appropriate battery grips should give you the same increased fps rate as using the genuine Nikon battery.
