- The cameras internal flash location makes it unusable for lighting your subject underwater, but it can be used to trigger an external strobe setup via the twin fiber optic ports which are built into the front of the housing.
- For the best results it is recommended to use an external strobe setup such as the optional Ikelite DS51 strobe.
- Alternatively, a bright constant on video light can be used.
- A constant on light is not as bright as a strobe flash, but they do provide added versatility because they can be used for focus assist and for improved colours when shooting video.
- Slightly negative buoyancy in fresh water.
- The port features a 67mm thread on the front for the easy attachment of external wide angle and macro wet lenses.

- A vacuum kit allows you to pressurise the housing to check for proper assembly prior to entering the water.
- The housing comes complete with an 0109 rear o-ring, 0200 vinyl port over and a 1cc tube of silicone lubricant.
