The Pentax D-BG6 is a dedicated battery grip for use with the Pentax K-1 / K-1 Mark II digital SLR camera. The grip can either take a spare Pentax D-LI90 battery or six AA batteries to increase the shooting time of the camera. This grip also has an additional shutter release button for easier vertical shooting plus a preview lever, dual electronic dials, AE lock button, AF, ISO, exposure compensation and green buttons. It has the same dustproof, weather resistance construction as the body.

Hi, yes there is a tripod screw thread on the base of the grip for attaching the whole camera to a tripod.
