The Samyang 85mm F1.8 ED UMC CS is a manual-focus lens which is designed to be compatible with various mirrorless compact-system cameras such as Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon M and Micro Four Thirds. It is matched to crop (APS-C) sensors, providing a short telephoto with an angle of view equivalent to 135mm in full-frame terms. The fast F1.8 maximum aperture offers outstanding sharpness with beautiful separation and blurred backgrounds. The use of HR (high-refraction) and ED (extra-low-dispersion) lens elements provide superb optical performance. Flare and ghosting are also controlled by UMC (ultra-multi-coating). Furthermore, handling and portability are excellent thanks to the compact and lightweight design, which makes this lens ideal for all subjects from portraits to still-lifes to street photography.
