High resolution and high performance 50mm focal length prime lens with a large f1.4 maximum aperture. Suitable for both 35mm, full frame and APS-C sized sensor digital slr cameras (effective focal length approx 80mm on an APS-C sized sensor camera). Super multi layered lens coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides sharp and high contrast images even in backlit conditions. HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures a silent, high speed AF function. 40cm close focus distance. 77mm filter thread. Brass made bayonet mount. Sigma lenses now come with a 3 year warranty (if registered with Sigma UK within 30 days of purchase).
