Rear focus system and PLM (pulse motor) direct drive lead screw system for a high speed autofocus operation. HD multi layered lens coating for exceptional image quality. Incorporates ED (Extra low Dispersion) glass elements to compensate for chromatic aberration. The lens features weather resistant construction to prevent the intrusion of water and moisture into the lens barrel. Quick Shift focus system to quickly switch to manual focus if required. 0.95m close focus distance. Collapsible structure for compact dimensions. 58mm filter thread. Comes complete with front lens cap, rear lens cap and PH-RBK 58 lens hood.

Please note: This lens features a KAF4 lens mount compatible with an electromagnetic diaphragm control system. In order to use this lens, the cameras firmware must be upgraded to the latest version (except for the Pentax K-70). If this lens is mounted on a camera without proper firmware upgrade, its diaphragm control mechanism becomes inactive, making it impossible to obtain correct exposure. Cameras which are compatible with this system: Pentax K-70, K-1, K-3 II, K-S2 and K-S1.

 

  • Will this lens work properly on a Pentax K3 with v1.30 firmware?

    Hi, according to Pentax the only cameras compatible with the new KAF4 mount are the K-70, K-1, K-3 II, K-S2 and K-S1 models. The K-3 mark 1 is not mentioned I am sorry.
